We are excited to welcome Shaun and Mai to the lab.
Shaun brings with him research experience in neuroscience from his undergraduate studies and has worked at a startup focusing on gene therapy for cardiovascular diseases.
He will be starting the LKCMedicine PhD Program this January.
Mai is a Biological Sciences Undergraduate at NTU. She is also pursuing an interdisciplinary research-oriented program known as CN Yang Scholar’s Program.
We had our End of Year Gathering/Christmas Celebration!
Can you notice if someone has been added with Photoshop?
Merry Christmas, and may the remainder of 2023 be filled with joy and cheer.
We attended the Vascular Research Initiative End-of-Year 1 meeting. Before
the meeting, there was also Women in Science Plenary Lecture, titled
Statins inhibit vascular overgrowth in Infantile Hemangioma, by Prof
Joyce Bischoff from Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Prof Rinkoo Dalang kindly invited us to the P2P research Retreat at CHI
building. The three-year Predict-2-Prevent research trial aims to use
genetic testing to identify patients at risk of a heart attack.
This year we welcomed four URECA students, Felicia, Jamie, Esa, and Ser
Koon. URECA is a university wide undergraduate research programme to
cultivate a research culture and nurture research capabilities early in
undergraduates’ university education.
