Infectious Disease and Microbiome Program.

The 1st Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting for YiRou was conducted today. Thanks to her hard work and Dayang’s assistance, she
was able to conclude the meeting smoothly.

Dr. Henning Seedorf, who serves as the Principal Investigator at Temasek Life Sciences, extended an invitation to Dr. Federico Rey
for the TLL 20th Anniversary Symposium. Interestingly, Henning and Federico had previously been colleagues in the lab of Prof.
Jeffrey Gordon at Washington University in St. Louis. Furthermore, during Kazu’s postdoctoral days at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, Federico had acted as his mentor.. It’s truly a remarkable series of connections. Both Henning and Kazu were
delighted to have the chance to reunite with Federico.

the UNSW Microbiome Research Centre at St George Hospital, and he serves as the Editor in Chief of the renowned journal “Gut.”
During his visit, we had the opportunity to showcase our Microbiome Centre and engage in a fruitful exchange of ideas and
discussions. The meeting was a valuable platform for sharing insights and expertise in the field.
